Anxiety

Anxiety is a completely normal response to stress and burnout, but it can be very overwhelming, we may feel we need to avoid situations that can cause panic and stress. Generalised anxiety, phobias, social anxiety, and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), are presentations I have a great amount of experience working with. Together, we will identify the presentation of anxiety and work through evidence based interventions to support you manage your anxious symptoms and overcome difficulties that you feel you are facing. 

Depression

As a skilled therapist, my focus is on helping individuals navigate the challenges of depression. I utilise a variety of therapeutic techniques to create a supportive environment where individuals can understand their experiences of depression, lack of motivation, and overall disengagement in things we once enjoyed. By fostering open communication and offering tailored strategies, I empower clients to understand emotions better and develop coping mechanisms. Together, we work towards improving your overall well-being while finding a path to a more fulfilling life.

Trauma

Traumatic experiences in childhood or adulthood can cause lasting effects on our mental health. CBT can offer a compassionate and effective approach to treating trauma by helping individuals gently explore and reframe distressing thoughts and beliefs. Through a safe and supportive environment, you can understand how trauma affects emotions and behaviors, and gradually build healthier patterns of thinking. This process not only reduces the emotional intensity of traumatic memories but also fosters resilience, offering hope and a path forward toward recovery and self-compassion.

Self-esteem

Therapy can be a powerful and nurturing space for rebuilding self-esteem, confidence, and reach your persona goals. I aim to offer you the chance to be seen, heard, and valued without judgment. Through compassionate dialogue and guided self-reflection, therapy can help uncover and challenge the negative beliefs we hold about ourselves, often rooted in past experiences. As you begin to recognize your strengths, and develop a compassionate mindset, therapy can help to offer a renewed sense of confidence, self-acceptance, and the belief that you are enough just as you are.
